SWIPETASK PRIVACY POLICY

 

At Swipetask, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors (Users). This Privacy Policy explains the types of information collected and recorded by Swipetask and how we use it.

Swipetask Privacy Policy

By logging into the Swipetask dashboard (cloud portal) or any Swipetask mobile application account, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using any Swipetask applications.

This Privacy Policy (“PP”) outlines how Swipetask Pte Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) may collect, use, disclose, or process personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”). It applies to personal data in our possession or under our control, including data collected and processed by organizations we engage for our purposes.


Personal Data

Definitions:

  • Customer: An individual who (a) has contacted us to inquire about our services or (b) has entered into a contract with us for the supply of services.
  • Personal Data: Information about an individual that can be identified either directly or through other accessible information.

Examples of Collected Data:

  • Name, gender, email address.
  • Identifiers: Username and password (securely stored using hashing).
  • Location Data: Device’s precise location (Latitude and Longitude) when using the Attendance & Highway modules or Wayfinding feature.
  • Photos and Videos: Captured when using features such as reporting or documentation.

Conditions for Data Collection:

  1. Voluntarily Provided: Data is knowingly shared by you or an authorized representative.
  2. Permitted by Law: Collection, use, or disclosure is required or permitted under PDPA or other applicable laws.

Purpose of Use

  • Contractual Obligations: Providing requested goods and services.
  • Authentication: Verifying your login credentials for access to the application.
  • Feature Enablement: Allowing features and modules to function (e.g., the Highway Maintenance module combines location data with images in Task Reports).
  • Business Purposes: Improving our App, customer support, and legal compliance.

Data Retention

  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active. Upon deletion request, a “soft deletion” process renders your data inaccessible. It is retained for 90 days for record-keeping, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and backups before permanent deletion.
  • Location Data, Photos, and Videos: Retained for 30 days or as long as necessary for their original purpose.

Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Personal Data

We collect personal data either:

  • With your consent, provided directly or via an authorized representative.
  • When permitted or required by PDPA or other applicable laws.

We may use personal data for:

  • Performing contractual obligations.
  • Responding to queries and feedback.
  • Fulfilling business purposes related to our services.

Data may be disclosed to:

  • Third-party service providers and agents.
  • Relevant governmental and regulatory authorities.

Withdrawing Consent

Consent for collecting, using, or disclosing personal data remains valid until withdrawn. You can withdraw consent by writing to our Data Protection Officer at privacy@swipetask.com.
We may require up to 10 business days to process the request and inform you of potential implications, including the inability to provide certain services.


Access to and Correction of Personal Data

You may:

  • Request access to your personal data or information about its use.
  • Request corrections or updates to your data.

Submit such requests in writing to privacy@swipetask.com. A reasonable fee may apply for data access requests, which will be communicated beforehand.


Protection of Personal Data

We use administrative, physical, and technical measures such as encryption, secure servers, and access controls to safeguard data. While no method is completely secure, we continually review and enhance our security practices.


Retention and Disposal

Personal data is retained as long as necessary for its original purpose or as required by law. Once no longer needed, data is securely deleted or anonymized.


Transfers Outside of Singapore

We generally do not transfer personal data outside Singapore. If required, we will obtain consent and ensure adequate data protection standards.


Request for Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data:

  1. In-App Deletion: Log in to your Swipetask mobile application, go to ‘Account Settings,’ and select ‘Delete Account.’
  2. Email Request: Write to withdraw@swipetask.com to request deletion.
  3. By filling up this form.

Certain data may be retained as required by law for security, fraud prevention, or regulatory purposes.

Children’s Privacy

Swipetask is safe for use by children, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.


Changes to Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of any changes.
